Freckelbox was an idea conceived by Scott and Mark, two family men/business men on a mission to provide awesome personalized childrens’ gifts at affordable prices. With offerings of everything from puzzles, to hardcover books, to stickers, there’s something that would please any child. Besides, what kid doesn’t like to see their own name plastered on everything?
Mark was nice enough to send me the, My Name Is… book for the Bubs. The book really is beautiful. The artwork is very vivid and the colors vibrant. The story also runs smoothly and is an easy read so that as Bubba gets older it will be easy to sound out the words and read alone when he’d like to. I love that the site allows you to see the pages of the book with the chosen name before you even place your order. It’s nice to see what the finished product will look like and what kind of product you’re purchasing before any transaction is made. I personally feel like it’s an added bonus for the consumer. Who wants to purchase something that isn’t what it seems? On top of that, the people that work at Frecklebox are some of the nicest people I’ve had a chance to work with. My point of contact, Mark, was extremely personable and I really enjoyed talking with him. I love companies that are a little more on the human side, ya know? It makes me want to invest money into their company and to purchase something even more (which I will be doing for my soon-to-be-arriving niece). Maybe product purchases should be made on just product merrit alone, but I like buying from nice, fun to talk to people, and those are exactly the kind of people you find at Frecklebox.
Bubba loves his book and is absolutely fascinated that his name is all over each page. He is contantly asking hubs or I to read it to him so that he can spell his name. I think he especially enjoys it because it’s all about him. With the twins being so little and starting to toddle around, a lot of our focus is on what they’re doing, what they’re getting into, or what milestone they’re reaching right before our eyes. Admittedly, Bubba gets lost in the shuffle sometimes. With this book being all about Bubs and only about Bubs, it’s a little reminder for him that maybe the world does revolve around him every once in awhile; just how he likes it.
